Andrea – Front Desk Coordinator
I am one of the main people you will talk to when scheduling an appointment and I’m the first smiling face you’ll see when you come into the office. I love watching the awesome changes that each patient goes through from the beginning to the end of their treatment. The smiles that leave our office are simply the best! I am amazed how Dr. Gen is able to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient to ensure their results are wonderful. I live in Solon with my husband, David, our daughter, Julia, and son, Joshua. I play an active part in my daughter’s Girl Scout troop and I love watching both my children play soccer. I enjoy traveling and going on bike rides with my family as well.
Dawn – Dental Hygienist
I have the best job! I get to clean our patients' teeth when their braces are removed so their smiles are as healthy as they are beautiful. I also help the other team members with adjustments, impressions, and banding appointments. I try to make each appointment very personal and educate patients about their procedures so they are more comfortable. I love working with Dr. Gen because he is a great orthodontist. He is always taking courses to learn about the most current procedures so he can give our patients the best care with the best results. I am married to my wonderful husband, Roy. We have two terrific children, Mitchell and Hannah, and a very high strung Jack Russell terrier named Dixie. When I am not cheering at football games, baseball games, or gymnastic meets, I enjoy reading a good book, doing crafts, and going for walks in the park.
Barb – Financial Coordinator
I meet with parents and patients to find a payment plan that best fits their orthodontic needs and their budget, and work with insurance so patients get the most out of their coverage. We all believe that getting orthodontic care should be affordable for everyone who needs it. I truly enjoy meeting and getting to know the families that come into our office. I get to make new friends every day! I spend a lot of my free time with my nephews, Jacob, Joshua, and Zack. I love to travel to warm climates with beaches, jet ski, and play poker.
Paula – Professional Relations Coordinator
My job is the greatest! In addition to taking care of all professional communications for our office, I get to contact our contest winners and award them their prizes. It is great to see how excited they become! Working along side Dr. Gen allows me to meet new people and see the difference when a person finally gets the smile they always envisioned. We always have fun and try to make sure that our patients do as well, whether it is when they come in for treatment or with our contests and patient appreciation day activities. I currently live in Twinsburg with my supportive husband, Scott, two daughters, Hannah and Alyssa, and our labradoodle named Mulligan. When I am not running my girls around town for their activities, I love to attend Zumba class, read a great book, and make homemade treats for my dog. When the weather is warm, you can find me at the pool or biking on the trails.
Cheryl – Front Desk Coordinator
I get to meet and greet new and existing patients and their families every day! I love to interact with the kids and listen to them talk about braces. It is awesome to watch the transformation of the patients as they progress through their treatment! Dr. Gen is the consummate professional. He handles every case with professionalism, respect, and sensitivity. You know you are in good hands being a patient of Dr. Gen! I have been happily married to my husband, Bob, for the past 20 years, and we have three very active boys. I am an avid runner and biker and love to do anything physical. I also enjoy traveling and shopping! I am involved in my children’s schools and I love watching their sporting events.
Debbie – Orthodontic Assistant and Clinic Coordinator
As clinical coordinator it is my job to keep the clinic running smoothly and on time. I also work with the front desk to triage emergency calls and get them scheduled appropriately. Everyone is an individual and has different needs. I try to asses each patient's needs so every visit is a pleasurable experience. After having worked in the orthodontic field for 38 years, I have seen the work of many orthodontists. In my opinion, Dr. Gen is a brilliant clinician as well as a caring human being. My husband and I will be married for 38 years this September. We are parents of two grown daughters and grandparents to two wonderful granddaughters. When I'm not working, I am busy taking care of my granddaughters and my mother.
Sam – Orthodontic Assistant
I assist Dr. Gen with all our patients during their clinical appointments. I love my job because I get to interact with our wonderful patients and see the changes that a beautiful smile can make on their confidence and self-esteem. Dr. Gen is not only fantastic with patients and their families, but he is always educating himself and our team so we can offer the best treatment options. My husband Heath plays guitar and I play piano so music is a very big part of our lives. I enjoy walking outside, spending time with family and reading. You may also find my husband and I around town trying out delicious restaurants!
Vickie – New Patient Coordinator
I meet with all our new patients and get them started with their orthodontic treatment. Seeing a patient transform from a person who doesn’t like to smile to a person who walks out the door after treatment with a beautiful smile and great confidence is the best part of my job. Dr. Gen has a wonderful chairside manner and every patient receives exceptional and individualized care tailored to their needs. We offer a loving, caring, and fun-filled environment and we want to make your orthodontic experience fun! My husband’s name is Larry and we have three wonderful sons and a four-legged son named Jack. I enjoy taking long walks with Jack, reading, traveling, antiquing, and spending time in my garden.
Tashyla – Orthodontic Assistant
As one of the clinical assistants, I help Dr. Gen in making every patients smile perfect. It’s such a great joy in seeing a patient start treatment and later seeing the end results...A wonderful smile! Dr. Gen is a very considerate person. He cares for every patient’s individual needs and makes sure they are well taken care of. Besides taking continuing education classes himself, Dr. Gen makes sure his staff is provided with the newest information on orthodontic techniques so our patients receive the best treatment possible. In my spare time, I enjoy sports, dancing, movies, music and playing with my new puppy, Little Caesar, a “chorkie”. In general, I just love to have fun and laugh.
Vanary – Record Technician
At Dr. Gen Orthodontics, I have the role of taking records for our patients including taking x-rays and pictures. I am able to work with patients of all ages, which I absolutely love. Seeing the transformation of what braces can do is quite phenomenal. There is nothing better than a healthy smile. Dr. Gen is a remarkable orthodontist, who goes above and beyond for his staff and patients and offers nothing but the best care. At home, you can find me reading a great novel, shopping, and I love to travel and hang out at the beach. I also have two great nephews, Genghis and Keison, whom I cherish and love to spend time with.
Andi – Orthodontic Assistant
Being an orthodontic assistant at Dr. Gen Orthodontics has been so rewarding. I often see patients who come to us that are self-conscious about their smile prior to treatment. It is so nice to see their faces light up once they get their braces off and look in the mirror for the first time. I am Texas born, Ohio raised. A Euclid Alum and Cleveland Institute of Dental-Medical Assistants graduate. When outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my husband Kurt, daughter Lennon and dog Schnook. Hobbies include movies, music, food and spending time with family. I am so happy to be a part of our patients’ experience.
