 | Your initial consultation (first visit) is scheduled
during hours when Dr. Gen is able to give you uninterrupted time to answer
all your questions. At that time, the patients past medical and dental
history is reviewed, the bite is examined and facial contour and balance are
evaluated to determine the problems that exist and the necessity and timing
of treatment. Preliminary findings are then explained by Dr. Gen. We will
also show you an educational video that provides you with general overview
about orthodontic treatment and braces. It is our objective to give you all
the information you might need to make your decisions about orthodontic
treatment at this first visit. |

 | If treatment is recommended, we will explain orthodontic
records (necessary x-rays, dental impressions and photographs of the
face and teeth) in order to make a final diagnosis and to develop the
treatment designed to treat your specific problem. An appointment for
records is normally scheduled at the end of the initial exam appointment. |
 | After the orthodontic records are carefully examined
and analyzed, we will thoroughly discuss your orthodontic needs and
treatment sequence. We will once again provide detailed answers to any
questions you might have. Our treatment coordinator will further clarify the
course of treatment with visuals and description. All of the findings and
treatment plan will be summarized for you in a written pamphlet that you can
take home for more in-depth study. |
 | We will recommend any other dental care necessary
before starting braces. |
